MR CHAN KIN-POR (in Cantonese): Thank you, President. In the past, members of the public and tourists have relayed from time to time that the network signal reception at major event venues was poor. One of the KPIs set out in the 2023 Policy Address is to “[c]oordinate proactively with relevant organizations to enhance 5G network capacity at the major public event venues”. May I ask the Bureau whether it has discussed with the network operators to come up with an effective solution or to enhance the relevant facilities at KTSP?

The Bureau attaches great importance to the provision of good 5G network coverage at KTSP. At present, the 5G network rollout at the Public Sports Ground of KTSP has been largely completed, and the network rollout works for the Main Stadium and the Indoor Sports Centre are also in full swing. Upon completion of the relevant works, we will conduct comprehensive testing to ensure that the entire KTSP has good 5G network coverage. Thank you, President.
